In a radio statement signed by Moussa Hamadou, Vice-President of the Order of Medical and Health Professionals of Cameroon, the organization condemns the unnatural attitudes of some professionals in the field regarding patient management.
The OPMS calls on the highest level of « responsibility of the order of medical and health professions, whose motto remains Morality-Honorability-Profession ».
The institution also reminds us that « no person admitted to health facilities seeking healthcare deserves to suffer practices that violate their humanity, dignity, and integrity» .
At the end of his statement, Hamadou Moussa raised his tone, specifying that the OPMS « will mobilize all means conferred upon them by law to ensure that all authors of such practices and their accomplices are held accountable », which is why he invites everyone to « scrupulously respect the code of ethics in force » .
